Performance Venues
Main Stage
The Barber of Seville and Last Night at the Opera will be featured on the front lawn Main Stage this summer.
The Main Stage is an accessible performance space for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. Leading off of the tarmac path from the car park and Box Office, the performance area is situated over grass with rubber matting to support an even surface. The ground seating area is step-free, and there is allocated wheelchair seating, with companion tickets available for those accompanying wheelchair users. |
Amphitheatre
The Turn of the Screw will be staged in the amphitheatre this summer.
The amphitheatre performance space has limited accessibility for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. The route from the Box Office to the amphitheatre is on one level ground and is a 5-minute walk over smooth tarmac and concrete surfaces. All patrons will be seated for this summer's performances in the amphitheatre, with wheelchair seating and companion seating in allocated areas. Please note that the amphitheatre is a raked seating performance area with steep steps, without a handrail, leading to the stage. We strongly recommend that those with limited mobility book seats on the back row as these will be step-free. |
Waterperry House Ballroom
Nights Not Spent Alone, Young Artist Gala, and Come and Sing will take place in the Ballroom in Waterperry House this summer.
The Ballroom is located on the first floor of Waterperry House and is an accessible performance space. Leading off of the tarmac path from the car park and Box Office, the Ballroom can be accessed via a lift for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility. Seating in the Ballroom is unreserved - please let us know if you would like to reserve access seating for a patron in your party by contacting [email protected] . |
Garden Glade
Peter and the Wolf and Serenades will take place in the Garden Glade performance area this summer.
The Garden Glade is a relaxed performance space situated within Waterperry Gardens. All patrons will be led to the Garden Glade by congregating at the Box Office at the advertised time. The route to the performance space is accessible for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility, however this is a 10-minute walk from the Box Office over grass surfaces which can be uneven - please get in touch with us if you will require any access assistance for this performance space by emailing [email protected]. To enhance the enchanting, intimate and relaxed experience of these performances, most patrons will be asked to sit on cushions within the performance area, with a limited back row of unreserved seating. Please let us know if you would like to reserve access seating for a patron in your party by contacting [email protected]. |
Accessing the House and Gardens
As part of our mission to offer innovative and immersive performances, our events take place across the beautiful Waterperry House and Gardens estate. This can mean that performances are located up to a 10-minute walk away from each other/the public car park/our Box Office. We ask that patrons bear this in mind when planning their visit.
We cannot unfortunately provide wheelchairs.
Although audience routes are mainly on step-free garden pathways, the nature of the estate means that the surface can be uneven. We advise wheelchair users and patrons with limited mobility to get in touch if they have any concerns about moving around the site - [email protected].
Access Parking: Access parking is available, if you require access parking please contact [email protected].
Access Toilets: There are three unisex accessible toilet available on site. The first is located in the Garden’s main car park. The second is located behind the Front Lawn seating and is available during performances times in this performance area. The third is located upon entry of Waterperry House for those attending a performance in the Ballroom.
Assistance Animals: Assistance animals are welcome to all areas of the Festival, however we ask that your let us know in advance if you intend to bring an assistance animal so that our stewarding team can plan your visit accordingly.
