Garden access |
We are very lucky to produce an Opera Festival in an environment as stunning as Waterperry Gardens. We recommend that all attendees take the opportunity to explore the Gardens while they are with us.
Waterperry Gardens are open to the public between 10am and 5pm every day. A full price ticket to just access the gardens is £11.50. However, your Waterperry Opera Festival ticket includes access to the full gardens during box office opening hours.
Please clear your belongings from the formal gardens by the end of the interval. Please Note: For "Donate What You Can" events garden access is not included. About the Gardens
Waterperry Gardens is a magical place where you are surrounded by beautiful trees, shrubs and flowers, classical borders, modern planting, secret corners and long vistas.
Home to the renowned horticultural college between 1932 and 1971, the emphasis was on food production rather than spectacular ornamental gardens. Over the past twenty years though the gardens have developed and grown, and many new projects have been undertaken and completed. You’ll now find a Formal Garden, the Mary Rose Garden, a Waterlily Canal and the Long Colour Border, and we recently planted a small arboretum in the meadow area beyond the canal. Find out more about the Gardens on their website here. |
